Whether you are experiencing a personal, social or emotional difficulty the wellbeing department is here to support you. We offer a range of services which includes:

- Access to a Disability and Dyslexia Advisor
- Access to Counselling Service
Should you wish to access any of our support services, you can find a self-referral form on the VLE in the Wellbeing section. This is our preferred way for you to contact us as it allows you to describe the challenges you are facing. This and other ways of contacting us are:

Student Wellbeing Resources
Counselling Service
Counselling offers a supportive environment to help you address emotional difficulties or life challenges. This service is available to assist with issues such as:
- Low mood and anxiety
- Bereavement
- Low self-esteem
- Family and relationship difficulties
Our counselling team consists of professionally qualified individuals who adhere to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy’s (BACP) ethical framework. Our counsellors also engage in external supervision in line with BACP’s best practices.
How to Access the Service:
University of Central Lancashire London’s counselling service is available free of charge to all students and staff.
Students will undergo an initial assessment by a wellbeing advisor to determine if counselling is the appropriate support option.
Wellbeing Student Advisors
Our wellbeing student advisors are dedicated to helping you manage emotional and wellbeing challenges throughout your time at University of Central Lancashire London .
They will listen to your concerns and work with you to create a tailored support plan, which may include referrals to relevant internal and external services.
All services within the wellbeing department are provided on a confidential “need to know” basis. This means information is shared only with key individuals involved in your support. In exceptional cases, information may be shared without your consent if it is urgent and you are unable to provide consent. Your information will be securely kept in both paper and electronic formats, following The Data Protection Act (2018) and General Data Protection Regulation (2018).
E-Booklets
Explore our wellbeing resources library for a range of e-booklets that you can read online or download. Each e-booklet offers insights into various aspects of wellbeing and includes a list of useful external organizations. E-Booklets are accessible to registered students through their VLE.
